Encased in its signature lightweight frame, the DJI Mini 5 Pro features a powerful 1-inch CMOS camera, advanced omnidirectional obstacle detection for nightscapes, a versatile gimbal with 225° rotation, and upgraded ActiveTrack 360°. It captures every cherished moment in stunning detail, delivering performance on par with flagship drones.
The 1-inch CMOS sensor is the reason to choose this over a smaller Mini. It captures 50MP stills and 4K/60fps HDR video with up to 14 stops of dynamic range, holding detail in high contrast scenes like sunrise, sunset and cloud texture where smaller sensors clip.
10-bit H.265 recording is available even in standard colour mode, giving you room to grade without committing to a log workflow. D-Log M and HLG are there when you want them, with a maximum ISO of 3,200 in those modes and 12,800 in standard.
The 48mm Med-Tele mode gives a 2x step with genuine resolution behind it rather than a digital crop, so subjects hold texture and separate cleanly from the background.
Portrait optimisation adjusts brightness, contrast and skin tones, which matters most on group shots and candid frames where you are not going to get a second attempt.
The gimbal rotates through 225°, giving true vertical capture for social formats without cropping down from a landscape frame. Every image arrives full resolution and ready to post.
The same rotation range enables QuickShot Rotate, Timelapse, Spotlight and Waypoint Flight, so rotating and orbiting moves are available without manual gimbal work.
The Mini 5 Pro captures slow motion in 4K at 120fps, holding clarity at high resolution rather than dropping to a lower one. That gives you a dynamic option in the edit without a separate setup on the day.
Forward-facing LiDAR works alongside multiple vision sensors to give omnidirectional obstacle detection that stays reliable in low light, where vision-only systems become unreliable.
Return to home is covered too. The aircraft detects tall structures on the return path, and its visual positioning lets it memorise a flight path and return safely even from a launch point without satellite coverage, such as a balcony.
Night flying in the UK requires a flashing green light fitted to the aircraft. Worth knowing before your first evening flight.
ActiveTrack 360° offers configurable tracking across a range of situations, with more dependable tracking performance than the previous generation. Set the framing you want and the aircraft holds it while you concentrate on where you are going.
DJI Mini 5 Pro with RC-N3 The aircraft, one battery, and a controller that uses your phone as the screen. The cheapest route in, and the right choice if you already have spare batteries or plan to add them later.
DJI Mini 5 Pro Fly More Combo with RC 2 This package. Three batteries, the two-way charging hub, shoulder bag, ND filter set, and the DJI RC 2 with its own built-in screen, so your phone stays in your pocket.
DJI Mini 5 Pro Mega Bundle Everything in this combo, plus £233.91 of extras including a year of Repair Refresh accidental damage cover, a STARTRC hard case, a 128GB memory card and a LUT pack.
The step from RC-N3 to RC 2 is the one most people notice day to day, because not having your phone tied up changes the experience more than any specification does. The step up to the Mega Bundle is about what you avoid buying in the first fortnight, and about having damage cover from day one.

Yes. This is the most common misunderstanding since the rules changed on 1 January 2026.
Registration used to start at 250g. It now starts at 100g. You need a Flyer ID for any drone weighing 100g or more, and an Operator ID for any drone of 100g or more that has a camera. The Mini 5 Pro is around 249.9g and has a camera, so both apply.
The Flyer ID is free, involves a short online theory test, lasts five years and has a minimum age of 13. The Operator ID costs £12.34 a year, must be renewed annually, has to be displayed on the aircraft, and the holder must be 18 or over.
The weight class still carries a real advantage. Sub-250g aircraft, and those carrying a UK0 or UK1 class mark, can be flown close to and over uninvolved people in a way heavier drones cannot. No drone of any class may be flown over a crowd or organised assembly.
That flexibility is why this weight suits travel, content work and anywhere you cannot control who is nearby.
Remote ID became mandatory on 1 January 2026 for aircraft carrying UK1, UK2, UK3, UK5 or UK6 class marks. For legacy aircraft and UK0 aircraft weighing 100g or more with a camera, it applies from 1 January 2028. Check the class mark on your aircraft to confirm which date applies to you.
Yes, with a flashing green light fitted to the aircraft, which is a UK requirement for night flying. The forward-facing LiDAR gives you obstacle detection and safer return to home after dark, but the light is a legal obligation rather than an optional extra.
No. DJI does not supply one in the box, and this combo does not include one. You will need a microSD card before your first flight, and we stock cards suitable for drones.
Yes. Free collection is available from our DJI Experience Centre in Chichester, open Monday to Saturday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. Worth considering on an open box unit, since you can inspect it before you take it away. If you would rather have it delivered, free next day delivery applies seven days a week.
